The Exidy Sorcerer is a home computer released in 1978 by the video game company Exidy in the VS. The graphical properties of the Zylog Z80 based microprocessor were impressive. However due to lacking support, the Exidy Sorcerer became never popular in VS, in contrast to some countries outside the VS. In the Netherlands home computers attack a lot of interest at that time. An active Hobby Computer Club existed. Due to the successful Teleac course on TV about microprocessors even a licence was gained by the Dutch firm Compudata to produce and distribute the Exidy Sorcerer in Europe.
The THT lecturer Jan Wilmink at the chair "Digitale Techniek" contributed to the Teleac course book.
